It may be of the oldest design among the current full-size pickups, but Dodge
Ram may still be the best-looking truck in the market. Last year, Dodge Ram received
a host of significant changes ranging from the ride and steering response, powerful
engines, front suspensions, new brakes, and steering system; all of which were
aimed at improving its performance. 2001 Dodge Ram looks great in its broad-shouldered
front fenders though it has become long in the tooth. This year's Quad Cab four-door
pickup is designed to be as strong as a conventional pickup bodyshell though no
pillars are attached on the doors.
An optional Sport package comes out this year that bares a body-colored grille
and front and rear bumpers, decals, fog lamps, outline white letter tires, and
cast aluminum wheels. The front end on the Sport uses a different grille design
and clear-lens headlamps. For a convenient atmosphere, the interior is gifted
with a cavernous space. It offers a roomy interior with conventional front doors
and rear-hinged rear doors. A dual locking system is provided for security when
the rear door is locked.
Ram's instrument panel is now more modern in layout than its original design.
Included are a new steering wheel design, a big storage compartment, an extra
power point, and new cup holders designed to handle any drink container. Other
recent improvements embraced by 2001 Ram 1500 includes a keyless remote entry
system, an upgraded base sound system, a cassette and CD sound system option and
a new center console.
Other interior highlights are heated power mirrors, illuminated power door locks
and window switches, and an optional security alarm system. Dodge Ram's terrific
features and easy usage dispersed the notion that trucks are mere working vehicles.
Now, families enjoy the drive of pickup trucks, as gradually they become known
as minivans. For all of your trips or work, Dodge Ram offers loads of rooms, loads
of power, and loads of style.
